PRIVACY NOTICE

Clear about the data behind your reservation.

Very Name Service, operated under the Lidde name, uses limited information to provide the free reservation programme, verify wallet control and protect the service from abuse.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

1. Information we collect

  • Your public wallet address.
  • The .very name you request.
  • The one-time reservation message, signature, nonce and cryptographic message hash.
  • Reservation, challenge and security-event timestamps.
  • A SHA-256 hash derived from your IP address for short-term rate limiting. The application does not store the raw IP address in its rate-limit table.
  • Technical request and error information generated by our hosting and database providers.

We never request or receive your wallet private key.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to process and display reservation status, verify that a wallet authorised a reservation, prevent duplicate or abusive registrations, create downloadable proof, secure the service, diagnose failures and prepare for a possible future claim process.

Where data-protection law applies, we rely on providing the service you request and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving it. We do not use reservation information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Where it is processed

Vercel hosts the website and processes technical request logs. Turso stores reservation and security records. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and data-processing arrangements, which may involve processing in multiple countries.

We do not sell reservation information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a properly managed change in the project's operation.

4. How long we keep it

Active reservation records and their signed proofs are retained while the pre-reservation programme operates and for as long as needed to administer a future claim, resolve disputes and preserve the integrity of the reservation list.

Application rate-limit records expire shortly after their window and are cleaned up after approximately 24 hours. Hosting and database logs are retained according to the applicable Vercel and Turso account settings. Backup copies may remain until their scheduled deletion.

5. Your choices and rights

You may ask us for information about a reservation associated with your wallet, request correction where appropriate, or ask us to consider deletion or restriction. Some records may need to be retained to prevent fraud, document prior actions or meet legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, object, restrict processing, obtain a copy of your information or complain to your local data-protection authority.

6. Cookies and analytics

The current reservation application does not install advertising cookies or use reservation information for targeted advertising. Essential infrastructure may still use technical security mechanisms necessary to deliver and protect the website.

7. Contact and updates

Privacy enquiries can be sent to support@lidde.xyz. General enquiries can be sent to contact@lidde.xyz.

We will update this notice when the service, providers or uses of information materially change. A permanent onchain service will require a fresh review because blockchain records may be public and difficult or impossible to erase.
